People have asked me about Helmut (below) as he is most sincerely an eccentric person who does not enjoy the limelight in any way. He is certainly by now a recluse and lives in a single room at the headquarters of HarmonSink in Amsterdam (he calls this his Kleine Ruimteflat) but it is really merely a room with a basin and WC.

Although he has many of Klaus Harmony's (his father) traits and personality tendencies, he inherited much from his Godfather, Friedrich Wohlfäht, who was also most eccentric and sometimes reclusive also.

By the time he was in his mid-twenties (he is now in his late-thirties) he was wanting to stay inside and sometimes not wash his hair. Originally we thought this was perhaps because he was fond of the legendary progressive hard rock supergroup, Marillion. We did invite the lead singer, Fish, to visit and try to coax poor Helmut from his tent in the car park but, despite many attempts by the kind rock icon, it was not possible sadly.

Yes I am obviously to apologise for my strange talk of recent times. I have been smoking a little more cannabis than as is normal for me because of the stress of Pupu being gone. But she is back now and all is well!

So. I am not happy with Godfrey Gilliam (Klaus' long term biographer). I have persuaded Streef la Belle from Straldo Em Hitz to do a TV interview with GG to promote the party mix album (which I hate). But I do have a plan! Well, first with Godfrey doing the interview, Streef will not so much be able to steal the lime light. And second, GG could be exposing him as a bad man and fraud conster, all on live TV (maybe Rai Uno).

But GG WON'T DO IT!

I have put a call in to him and he was a little evasive at the beginning but was admitting eventually that he is worried about the mafia and Streef la Belle. We mustn't forget that it would have been Streef's intention to do a party mix of Fabien Mitterrand but he knows damn well that Klaus Harmony music beats FM any days.

I am not at all happy and need to regroup so I can know what to do next.

PS I have decided to carry out my food experiment in May and am currently interviewing good looking women who can supply their own white coat and clipboard.

Pupu has called and she is has agreed to come back with a proviso or few.

1. First she wants no negativity against my business partner and surrogate son, Helmut. Agreed.

2. She want more cash for day to day being about in coffee houses, wine bars and department stores. Agreed.

3. She wants to say that Bogdan the maintainance man can come to give her 'life advice'. Agreed.

4. She wants my tennis club membership card. No!'

Why is she so against the man who is for peace and loving more than all things? All I do is love her and she turns me aside so much.

What I think of course is that Streef la Belle should do the idea of Godfrey Gilliam on a head to head TV interview where all things count. It would be Godfrey's opportunity for a livetime.

BUT! Streef is accepting and GG is saying, 'no thanks, matey'. So the moment is never come.

I have bones which I can pick with GG and I will when the moment is ripest!

And I should have also pointed out (maybe I would not be saying this out loud on the ethernet if I did not have some cannabis) but Streef la Belle did have a sex change operation some years ago. I cannot remember which way he changed. I am a fool. I love you Pupu.

With all this stuff about the Italian released Straldo Em Hitz Klaus Harmony Party Mix going on I got to thinking about Streef la Belle, the 'mastermind' behind SEH.

Now on one hand I should say that I certainly do not like him. On another he is an interesting guy with some interesting ways of being. He was always about the circuit and did have reasons to cross ways with Klaus and me from time to time. One of the main reasons why I am so against this man is the fact that it is true for some while he was the manager of Fabien Mitterrand (the most notable exponent of Le fraterity de Paris de la musique érotique, and Klaus' nemesis).

He (Streef la Belle) came from an ancient showbiz family of troubadours in Switzerland and, many said at the time, had links with the KGB. This led, I must say most foolishly, to the ideas that Klaus was a KGB agent. He did have a Luger but most Germans did at this time. (They were popular design accessories throughout the 1970's).

Because of this many also believe that he is linked with the Russian mafia (he is often seen with James Last for instance) and so many are afraid to go head upon head with this man.

Well I do not like him but I should say that I am not at all afraid. He wants to intimidate my friendly conscience then so be it. But I must keep faith and maintain the funk at always (this was my promise to KH).

So I think I must say no to this party mix. Helmut and myself have put so much of our souls and money into the Oeuvre series. It is our place to keep the flame of Klaus alive and so it will be.

I have long had what Pupu calls "this ridiculous lifestyle" of late nights up and meals at the funny times of day. Well I have some answers but they are not easy to make into reality.

First my eating. Well it is true to say but how I make me regular in this respect is difficult because I never could get along with the three meals a day way of things and diet. So my plan, first off, is to hire a woman in a white coat (she does not need be qualified in anything but I would insist on the white coat as to make me a more confident subject for the experiment) and she would observe me about my day and day business for one whole month of the calender (perhaps May) to make a profile of when I seem to be hungry for things (of course it is better to exclude the times when I might have smoked any cannabis).

This way after these weeks we can sit in a scientific way, with clipboards and glasses, and examine what it is we find. I think we will then have the answer to the problems of when I am best to eat and when Pupu should cook for me and not worry that I am not at all hungry.

Also we apply much the same idea to the answer of when I am best to sleep by asking the same woman with the coat to watch as I go around and make a note of when I am indecisive or making mistakes or falling over. But again, not if I am smoking some cannabis. Waste of time - not funny.

Then, again, we sit with clipboards and we know when I am tired.

This puts me very much in mind of the amazing inventor Jerrick Vander about whom Godfrey Gilliam wrote:

I suppose I should be most invigorated by these reports of the Klaus Harmony sightings (isn't it like Elvis?) but I am sure to confess that I am finding them somewhat irritating. Klaus disapeared after an explosion in London in 1984 but no body was left behind - only his desert boots, smoking in the wind. But the police said at the time that they could not find him and that he was dead.

Well SWB does think he has run away to be with his accordion again at the traveling circus but Helmut and I have always thought this a little crazy - I mean holy cow! (Pupu is quite cross with me for not being more 'romantic' here.)

And now these reports about a vagrant in America trying to con us for a Winnegago and Sting from The Police getting invlolved (such a busy body!) On top of this also the man from the London recordng studio who believes he saw Klaus at a party living it up and having good times. Pah! Let me say this most certainly. We (me and Klaus) were very much the closest of friends (apart from Klaus and Friedrich). I should also say we were not gay at all. But I would know if he were alive still. We had a connection which was like brothers also and a sure that Klaus died that day. It's as though someone suddenly had turned down the brightness on a television set. So tragic.

But we have much to rejoice. His music (Tone Erotiks as he would call them) lives on still today and we are slowly releasing it all in Oeuvre so people can once again marvel at the genius of the 'Mozart of Porn'.

This is what is making me so cross. Streef la Belle has said (and I must say it is not what I believe) that Klaus gave him rights for music from Die Sexorcist.

It is the case that when the film was released and so soon after the death of beloved Friedrich, Klaus could not bear to bring out the music on vinyl. But now having made the Oeuvre series, both Helmut and myself thought the time was right to remaster and finally release the great music marrying Gothic Horror and the Disco Style (amazing).

So la Belle is claiming to have Klaus' signature on a napkin... Pupu corrects me. It is a beermat. On this beermat is a squiggle. It is most certainly not the signaure of Klaus. And the lawyers believe him. So now this horrid Funky Beat Mix thing is going to release Die Sexocist music before we do.

If I could only talk to Helmut about these matter but he is currently 'dark' and in his room and would not come out for fear of 'streetlamps burning his mind'. Pupu says I must be loving for him and also strong toward him but it is not as easy as it sounds!

I think I must only be content with some muesli tonight. There is no justice.

It is sad to say, I know, but yes it is true. Klaus during his 'lost fornight' was led somewhat astray by unruly characters. I think it was that at the time he was most absorbed in his work and needed relief but it was not light relief to the shame of his friends.

In 1974 after much attention from his art movie music he became friends with James Last and things went downward in spiral from that point upwards. James had a fondness for women and armagnac and was often volatile in moods. He had a gang who followed him about parties in Europe which had the members of Brian Eno and Robert Fripp who were dangerous men to know at this time.

It is a famous story that they were asked to leave a hotel in Vienna after they painted the keys of the grand piano in their suite. But other outrageous behaviour was also happening especially when Peter Gabriel also became involved. One of Brian Eno's favourite games was to drive fast through cities and ignore the roundabouts. Usually they went over them and a time was when Klaus, James Last and Brain Eno took a Fiat hotwired by Robert Fripp and drove it through L'arc de Triomphe at 110kph with Klaus hanging from the window screaming and laughing. Not funny. A street mime artist was almost injured.

But it is rare that these stories are heard as James Last has connections with the mafia and even as I write these recollection I am in mind of my own safety. Now I stop as Pupu is worried.

Pupu would be jealous!

I have had so much attention today but not all good! I arrived in Amsterdam and SWR called from Brentford (Essex, not California) to ask about the Straldo Em Hitz compilation which she has heard about. I explained as mostly sincere that I could that I believed it was not good for the memory of Klaus and she interrupted me by shouting that she has waited long enough and needs to have her second swimming pool now! Well I was very stunned and wanted to speak to Helmut but he is in 'dark' mode presently and cannot come out of his special room.

So cut cut the long story off, she wants me to let the party mix come out for the sake of money. It breaks my heart but she is entitled to my respect.

Anyhow, also I got a call from classical actor Anthony Booth who wants very much to know if his demo acetate version of Wonderful Kiss, Marvelous Eyes, which would have appeared on Elektrische Lippen if he had been the leading actor, is to be included onto a Oeuvre volume. I explained that we did not plan it (party because it is true to say I think that Klaus hated that song!) and he became quite angry and told me he badly needed the money for an apartment in Liverpool. I did not ask as to why! He is most upset with me. I am sorry he is feeling this way about it all.

Anyway, also it is Helmut's time to be taken to the Spa but it is quite a trouble to get him from his room. At the moment he will only read notes in his letterbox and not even come to his intercom. Pupu believes I should assert myself over him but come on - for old times sake of Klaus and the faith? No way. Maintain the funk at always. This was my promise to him.
